A interação do mundo do texto com o mundo do leitor em Paul Ricoeur

Abstract

The objective of this research was to investigate how the notion of autonomy of the text contributes to the understanding of the interaction between the concept of the world of the text and the concept of the world of the reader in Paul Ricoeur - especially in the works Interpretação e Ideologias (1990), Del texto a la accion: ensayos de hermenéutica II (2002), Tempo e Narrativa: o tempo narrado (2010b) and O si-mesmo como outro (2014). For this study, the historical trajectory of hermeneutics was initially approached, revisited by Ricoeur, so that it was possible to understand how the notion of the world of the text emerged and was constructed. Subsequently, the process that takes the reader from a naive and superficial reading to a critical and in-depth reading was analyzed, starting from the dialectic of explanation and understanding until culminating in the interpretation as appropriation of the text by the reader. Finally, the notion of the world of the reader was investigated, observing how the reader's self is constituted in relation to the text, based on the conception of a narrative identity. It is concluded, with this study, that the interaction between the world of the text and the world of the reader only becomes a possible reality when the notion of autonomy of the text is established as essential at the time of reading, leading the reader to understand and modify himself, as well as the reality in which he finds himself inserted, based on the mediation exercised by literary narratives.
