O itinerário da subjetividade acolhedora: do acolhimento à hospitalidade de Emmanuel Levinas a Jacques Derrida

Abstract

The text The Itinerary of the hostile subjectivity: from de refuge to the hospitality in Emmanuel Levinas and Jacques Derrida is in the vibrant movement of the philosophy of Alterity.From a readings of the works Totalité et Infinit (1961) and Autrement qu’être (1974) we sought to reflect on the hostile subjectivity in the thought of Emmanuel Levinas, which in the words of Jacques Derrida refers to the refuge as hospitality.In the first chapter,the concept of hostile subjectivity in the work Totality and Infinity was approached from the concepts:egoism, solitude and atheism that constitute the subject (I) in the dimension of human interiority. In the approach of Subjectivity as: sensitivity, fruition, in the relationship between the Self and the Other in the interpellating revelation of the Infinite through the visage that radically questions the self. In this awakening the response of the self reveals self as the responsability in the incessant saying of justice. In the second chapter we deal twith Responsibility and Justice in the reading Autrement qu'être, responsibility is announced as the Saying in front of the said in the same radicality, as: Substitution. This allows us to reflect beyond the dualism between the self and the other, in the sign of the third party's entrance on the plot of justice.These two chapter sincisively marked Levinas's thinking, help in gusto investigate the third and final chapter of this writing in the movement of Tolerance to Hospitality. Through a look at the concept of tolerance that had been widely diffused and debated in the modern sphere, we can arrive at the reading of Hospitality through works Adeus Emmanuel Lévinas(1997), Da Hospitalidade (1997) and Força de Lei (1994) to Jacques Derrida. These works help us to complete the itinerary of ethical radicalism such as alterity hospitality.
