| dc.description | O presente trabalho tem como objetivo identificar possíveis relações entre a arte drag queen e a expressão da identidade de participantes de um reality show. Para a elaboração do referencial teórico foram utilizados autores como Chidiac e Oltramari, Butler, Louro, entre outros, que trazem conceitos acerca de identidade de gênero e da teoria queer. Para atingir o objetivo geral proposto, foi utilizado o método de pesquisa qualitativa de cunho exploratório e interpretativo. A fonte utilizada foi a sétima temporada do programa "Rupaul 's Drag Race", da qual foram selecionadas cenas de duas participantes, Pearl e Trixie. Foi realizada uma análise de conteúdo em relação às cenas recortadas do o programa, a partir dos relatos das suas experiências como drag queens, a descoberta de sua sexualidade, a aceitação da sociedade e o processo de expressão de uma identidade feminina. A partir da fonte escolhida, o instrumento deu-se através da construção de uma tabela. As categorias da tabela foram definidas através do modelo aberto, posteriormente, discutidas a partir da estratégia de emparelhamento. Foram selecionadas 14 cenas, divididas em 2 categorias de análise: performatividade drag queen e expressão da identidade drag queen. Com base na discussão feita, foi possível identificar e analisar no reality show os conceitos fundamentais que englobam a identidade de gênero, atrelando-os com a teoria queer. Na primeira categoria foi possível identificar aspectos referentes à importância da exposição das participantes no programa de televisão, sendo que a performance da drag tem uma forte conexão com o lado artístico, não sendo possível distinguir o sujeito da personagem que ele interpreta. A segunda categoria aborda a identidade de gênero que é percebida pela estilização do corpo e é entendido como a forma pela qual os gestos, movimentos e estilos corporais de vários tipos constituem a ilusão de uma identidade permanente que é marcada pelo gênero. | dc.description.abstract | This work objectiver to identify possible relations between drag queen art and the expression of identity of participants in a reality show. For the elaboration of the theoretical framework, authors such as Chidiac and Oltramari, Butler, Louro, among others, who bring concepts about gender identity and queer theory were used. To achieve the proposed general objective, the exploratory and interpretive qualitative research method was used. The font used was the seventh season of the show "Rupaul's Drag Race", from which two participants were chosen, Pearl and Trixie. A content analysis was carried out in relation to the scenes of the program, based on reports of their experiences as drag queens, the discovery of their sexuality, the acceptance of society and the process of expression of a female identity. From the chosen source, the instrument took place through the construction of a table. The table categories were defined through the open model, later discussed from the matching strategy. 14 scenes were selected, divided into 2 categories of analysis: drag queen performativity and expression of drag queen identity. Based on the discussion, it was possible to identify and analyze in the reality show the fundamental concepts that encompass gender identity, linking them with queer theory. In the first category, it was possible to identify aspects related to the importance of the exposure of the participants in the show and drag performance has a strong connection with the artistic side, making it impossible to distinguish the subject from the character he plays. The second category addresses the gender identity that is perceived by the stylization of the body and is understood as the way in which gestures, movements and body styles of various types constitute the illusion of a permanent identity that is marked by gender. Therefore, it can be considered that the general objective of this work of identifying possible relationships between drag queen art and the expression of identity of participants in a reality show has been achieved.
