Este estudo apresenta uma análise de implantação de uma franquia de móveis na Colômbia. Foram identificadas três dimensões para análise da viabilidade da implantação da franquia: dimensão mercadológica, dimensão operacional e dimensão financeira. A coleta de dados foi embasada em um check-list estabelecido com base na revisão da literatura e realizada através de pesquisa qualitativa de caráter exploratório, com consulta dos dados em fontes secundárias e experiências da empresa. Os fatores levantados no check-list possibilitaram a análise do mercado no destino, o levantamento da situação da empresa referente às operações comerciais para o mercado externo e a análise financeira da implantação da franquia. Os resultados indicam que a franquia será viável, desde que seja uma loja pequena, com baixos custos operacionais e que a franqueadora ofereça treinamento e suporte comercial à franqueada.(sic)
Abstract
This study presents an analysis of the implantation of a furniture franchise in Colombia. Three dimensions were identified to analyze the feasibility of the franchise: market dimension, operational dimension and financial dimension. Data collection was based on a checklist created from literature review and was carried out through a qualitative research of an exploratory nature, with consultation on secondary sources and company experiences. The factors used in the checklist allowed the analysis of the destination market, the survey of the company's situation regarding the commercial operations for the foreign market and the financial analysis of the implementation of the franchise. The results indicate that the franchise will be viable as long as it is a small store with low operating costs and that the franchiser offers training and business support.(sic)
