Introdução: O Dry Needling (DN) é um tratamento que tem se tornado bastante conhecido na redução da lombalgia. A melhora ocorre da aplicação de agulhas e é utilizado para diminuir a dor miofascial em qualquer região do corpo. Objetivo: Realizar uma Revisão Integrativa da literatura sobre efeitos do uso do DN na dor lombar. Metodologia: Foi realizada Revisão Integrativa de estudos publicados entre os anos de 2010 a 2020 nas bases de dados eletrônicas da Biblioteca Virtual da Saúde e National Library of Medicine, Physiotherapy Evidence Database, Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde e Portal, nos idiomas inglês, português e espanhol, filtrando por: lombalgia, agulhamento a seco e fisioterapia. Os critérios de exclusão foram: os materiais educativos, artigos em outros idiomas que não listados na inclusão e lombalgias traumáticas. Dois revisores independentes realizaram a seleção dos artigos obedecendo aos critérios de inclusão, pelo título e resumo dos artigos. Resultados: Foram obtidos da pesquisa 9 artigos neste estudo que apontaram DN como eficaz no tratamento da lombalgia, isoladamente ou associado com outras técnicas. Conclusão: Os estudos sugerem que DN contribui de forma benéfica para alívio da lombalgia. Tanto no uso individual, como associada com outras técnicas [resumo fornecido pelo autor].
Resumo
Introduction: Dry Needling (DN) is a treatment that has become well known in reducing low back pain. The improvement occurs with the application of needles and is used to decrease myofascial pain in any region of the body. Objective: To carry out an Integrative Review of the literature on the effects of the use of NP on low back pain. Methodology: An Integrative Review of studies published between 2010 and 2020 was carried out in the electronic databases of the Virtual Health Library and National Library of Medicine, Physiotherapy Evidence Database, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences and Portal, in English, Portuguese and Spanish languages, filtering for: low back pain, dry needling and physical therapy. The exclusion criteria were: educational materials, articles in languages other than those listed in the inclusion and traumatic low back pain. Two independent reviewers performed the selection of articles according to the inclusion criteria, by the title and summary of the articles. Results: Nine articles in this study were obtained from the research that indicated DN as effective in the treatment of low back pain, alone or associated with other techniques. Conclusion: Studies suggest that DN contributes beneficially to the relief of low back pain. Both in individual use, and associated with other techniques [resumo fornecido pelo autor].
