This paper aims to determine how the Blended Learning model assists the development of autonomy in students of English as a Second Language. What has led me to write this monograph was the need to understand how it is possible to develop students' autonomy through Blended Learning Model, showing its concepts and its applicability when teaching English. This is due to the fact that the traditional method presented in schools is quite often not capable of meeting the needs of the students, and because the technology we use nowadays, the Internet, has been shaping people?s behavior. Using the bibliographic research to help developing this paper, there are some authors who have researched about the topics to guide on the answer to the main question about autonomy and the Blended Learning Model. They are: Schranm, Little, Freire, Vigotsky, Kanti, Zatti, Tarnopolski, Bacich, Tanzi Neto, Trevisan, Lalima, Dangwal and Wright. The second part of this research aims to determine the benefits of the Blended Learning Model to develop autonomy based on the materials used in this method. It will be used a documental research in order to understand how it fosters autonomy in students (sic).
