O presente relatório tem como propósito descrever as atividades realizadas ao longo do estágio curricular obrigatório em Medicina Veterinária. O estágio foi desenvolvido no Instituto Hospitalar Veterinário da Universidade de Caxias do Sul (IHVET - UCS), na área de clínica cirúrgica de pequenos animais. As atividades foram realizadas no período de 04 de agosto a 10 de outubro de 2025, totalizando 400 horas, sob a orientação da Profa. Me. Manoela Maria Bianchi e supervisão da médica veterinária Bárbara Gomes da Silva. O presente relatório aborda a infraestrutura do local de realização do estágio, a rotina
hospitalar cirúrgica, as atividades desenvolvidas, a casuística e dois relatos de caso. O primeiro relato descreve uma hepatectomia parcial do lobo lateral esquerdo em canina com carcinoma hepatocelular, e o segundo trata de uma rinoplastia em canino da raça Shih Tzu. Ao longo do estágio, foram acompanhados 116 pacientes, sendo 68 caninos e 48 felinos. A maior casuística dos procedimentos foi em relação ao sistema reprodutor (39,3%), seguido do sistema tegumentar (20,2%). [resumo fornecido pelo autor]
Abstract
This report aims to describe the activities carried out during the mandatory curricular internship in Veterinary Medicine. The internship was conducted at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University of Caxias do Sul (IHVET - UCS), in the Small Animal Surgical Clinic area. The activities took place from August 4 to October 10, 2025, totaling 400 hours, under the guidance of Prof. Me. Manoela Maria Bianchi and the supervision of veterinarian Bárbara Gomes da Silva. This report presents the infrastructure of the internship site, the surgical hospital routine, the activities performed, the observed caseload, and two clinical case reports. The first describes a partial hepatectomy of the left lateral liver lobe in a female dog with hepatocellular carcinoma, while the second details a rhinoplasty in a Shih Tzu dog. Throughout the internship, 116 patients were monitored, including 68 canines and 48 felines. The highest number of procedures was related to the reproductive system (39.3%), followed by the integumentary system (20.2%). [resumo fornecido pelo autor]
