O presente trabalho trata do estereótipo como elemento de representação dos novos imigrantes no Brasil. A pesquisa norteia-se, principalmente, pelo objetivo geral que busca verificar, por meio da análise de discurso de reportagens produzidas pelo jornal Zero Hora, a presença de estereótipos na representação dos novos imigrantes. Dessa forma, foram elencados os seguintes objetivos específicos: compreender de que forma os imigrantes venezuelanos e haitianos são representados em reportagens jornalísticas; aprofundar o conhecimento em torno das políticas públicas voltadas aos imigrantes, em questão, no país; e identificar possíveis contribuições das reportagens analisadas para a evolução dessas políticas públicas. Para entender a relação entre o conteúdo jornalístico e os estereótipos, foram analisadas reportagens de GZH. Sendo assim, foram utilizadas as técnicas de revisão bibliográfica e análise do discurso. Resumo
This paper deals with the stereotype as an element of representation of the new immigrants in Brazil. The general objective was to verify through speech analysis from reports produced by newspaper Zero Hora, the presence of stereotypes when representing new immigrants. In this way, the following specific objectives were listed: to understand in which way the venezuelans and haitians are represented in journalistic reports; to go deeper in the knowledge about immigration public policies in the country for the ones in question; and to identify possible contributions from the analyzed reports to the improvement of these public policies. To understand the relation between journalistic content and stereotypes, GZH reports were analyzed. Therefore, the techniques used were bibliographical review and speech analysis.
