O setor automotivo representa uma enorme importância tecnológica para o país e para o desenvolvimento industrial, sendo também de interesse para diversos outros segmentos fabris. Assim, o presente trabalho buscou identificar a contribuição da Volkswagen na introdução de novas tecnologias para o setor automotivo brasileiro. Para tanto, esta pesquisa apresentou a evolução da indústria alemã no setor automotivo brasileiro até a atualidade, identificou fatores decisivos para a estruturação e continuidade da Volkswagen no mercado brasileiro e analisou a introdução de novas tecnologias no setor automotivo trazidas pela Volkswagen. Dessa forma, em termos metodológicos, esta pesquisa possui natureza qualitativa em nível exploratório, realizada através de análise bibliográfica e entrevistas com ex funcionários da Volkswagen que abrangeram o tema. Concluiu-se que a tecnologia trazida pela Volkswagen para o setor automotivo brasileiro foi de extrema importância, pois propiciou um enorme avanço para o setor, fazendo com que os veículos ficassem mais seguros e, consequentemente, explorassem o mercado internacional com veículos produzidos no Brasil (sic).
Resumo
The automotive sector represents an enormous technological importance for the country and for the industrial development, being also of interest for several other manufacturing segments. Thus, the present work sought to identify the contribution of Volkswagen in the introduction of new technologies for the Brazilian automotive sector. Therefore, this research presented the evolution of the German industry in the Brazilian automotive sector to the present, identified key factors for structuring and continuity of Volkswagen in the Brazilian market and analyzed the introduction of new technologies in the automotive sector brought by Volkswagen. Thus, in methodological terms, this research has a qualitative nature at the exploratory level, carried out through a bibliographical analysis and interviews with former Volkswagen employees that covered the theme. It is concluded that the technology brought by Volkswagen to the Brazilian automotive sector was extremely important, since it provided a huge advance for the sector, making the vehicles safer and consequently, to explore the international market with vehicles produced in Brazil (sic).
