A pandemia da Covid-19 e os impactos na aprendizagem do Ensino Médio na área de linguagem e suas tecnologias

Abstract

This research investigated the impacts of the pandemic context (2020 and 2021) on the learning of high school students, in the area of knowledge of Languages and its Technologies. The research, of a qualitative nature, had as problem of investigating how Covid-19 has impacted the learning of high school students. Therefore, it sought to answer: what were the impacts caused on learning by Covid-19, in the view of high school students, in the area of Languages and its Technologies? The research has been done through a Circle of Conversation, a group composed by nine high school students, aged between 15 and 18 years old, and it has promoted a dialogue between young people about the impacts that occurred on learning during the restrictions imposed by Covid -19. In addition, individual interviews were applied with the goal of deepening topics discussed in the Conversation Circle. The research site was a private, philanthropic primary education institution in Caxias do Sul-RS. The general objective of the research was to analyze the impacts caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, in the perception of students, about their learning process, in the area of knowledge of Languages and their Technologies. The data analysis has been developed through Content Analysis method, according to Bardin (2011). Some results have showed that there were many impacts caused by Covid-19 on student learning: consequences on physical and mental health, in the change of the methodology (remote classes), in the excess of digital technologies compromising the learning in language areas. Circumstances that required students and teachers to adapt, focusing on the essentials of teaching and learning. In turn, technologies were seen positively by students, as it was the way that the educational system found to continue with classes during the Covid-19 pandemic.[resumo fornecido pelo autor]
